Dream Clock Screensaver looks nice and attractive. The design of the clock itself could look better though. It’s not that bad, but it seems too simple when compared to the detailed design of the background.
The visual effects are pleasant to the eyes as well as to the psyche. The glowing balls of light, smoothly fading in and out, the fog that is spinning around with natural movements, the lines of light appearing and disappearing - it all will soothe you.
The screensaver can be configured through Windows interface, from the Display Properties dialog. There are two main settings: the quality of the rendering and the “Loop” function. The difference in aspect between the low quality rendering and the highest quality is not huge, but it is noticeable. High quality is demanded on CPU power, which can be a problem only if your computer is very old.
If you’re one of those who leave the computer on almost all the time, then you should know that having a static image displayed on your monitor for too long can affect it negatively. Using this screensaver is practical for many reasons: it protects your display from damage, it gives you an extra clock around in your house (a huge one that is easy to see) and it helps you relax and get rid of stress.
